PohlCon's Design System
About
Bauhaus Design System (BDS) is developed to serve digital solutions of PohlCon which is a manufacturing company in the fields of Architecture, Engineering, Construction (AEC) industries, working primarily with steel and concrete. PohlCon is a parent company of JORDAHL, HBAU and PUK - each among the leaders in their respective fields of construction solutions. Therefore, Bauhaus Design System is a multi-brand design system catering to these three brands and their parent brand - PohlCon. As an initial approach, the multi-brand aspect is only reflected in the primary brand color distinction in UI components.
Primary design decisions such as Colors, Typographies, Effects and Gutters are tokenized in three levels: style tokens, semantic tokens, and component tokens in order of specificity for ease of maintenance.
Refer to the About, Guidelines and Design Tokens sections for generic documentation on how to use the Bauhaus Design System.
Components and pattern libraries are categorized into Atoms, Molecules, Organisms, and Templates in order of complexity.
Bauhaus components are designed in Figma, built in Vue.js and documented in Vitepress.
